Venue Review – The Garden Lounge

Each year many teams and organisations are looking for something different for their end of year celebration. We cannot begin to count the briefs LOUD events have received requesting that a venue ‘must be by the river’. There is something special about having a spritzer over ice on a hot summer’s afternoon by the water. The team at Brisbane Powerhouse have created a unique space that ticks all of our boxes – The Garden Lounge.

Together with Hire Republic and Wine & Dine’m, Brisbane Powerhouse have transformed the Performance Lawn into an exclusive garden oasis offering a 25m x 15m marquee complete with pop up bar, interactive food stations, cocktail lounges and furnishings, fairy lights, entertainment of your choice (either a DJ or a band) and giant lawn games. It really does have everything covered. There is space to play and add your own special touches.

The Garden Lounge can comfortably hold 200 people in a cocktail format, however the venue is very flexible with white picket fencing placed around the space which can be shifted to increase or decrease the footprint. The addition of the new City Cat stop in close proximity allows for easy access to the recently opened New Farm Park River Hub. For those with offices in the city, LOUD envisage hiring a City Cat exclusively from the city and taking a leisurely trip down the river to the venue as a team! What a unique way to kick off the celebrations.

But what if your group is smaller than 200? Brisbane Powerhouse has you covered. They have the option to be part of a corporate group party with different groups hiring the space and in turn sharing the cost.

The venue is a pop up available for a six-week period and will be back in 2020. We have it on good authority that there are still available dates for 2019! For more information get in touch with the team
