Public Events Go Virtual!

So what to do when you run a public event, but mass gatherings are illegal for the time being… Brisbane Marathon has decided to innovate to allow their event to still go ahead. This years event will happen virtually! Their Virtual Running Festival invites participants to still run the distance on the marathon weekend, and to record it on their device and upload their statistics to the race site. Physical finisher packs are then sent out to all participants with merch from the event. This is just one great example of many ways to think outside the box, connect as a community and still do our events in a time of isolating.
