Event Review – Association Cocktail Function
For the seventh year running, LOUD was delighted to work with our client to bring together their “Street Party” – the grand social event to end a packed 3 days of conferencing.
The party was held over two entertainment precincts at The Star on the Gold Coast.
The theme was Studio 54 and guests revelled in immersing themselves in a night of 70s disco, where flares, platform shoes, glitter and disco balls were the order of the night.
The event featured a raft of entertainment including Bob Downe as host. Of course he also couldn’t resist banging out a few disco favourites! Lisa Hunt’s Forever Soul band delighted the guests with their mix of Motown, disco, soul, R&B, and funk. Headlining the main arena was the Kylie Minogue tribute show 100% Kylie.
For those wanting a quieter experience, a silent disco was on offer in the marquee. This area also featured a glitter makeup bar, a themed photo booth, roving entertainment and much more.
The styling included more rigged mirror balls than you have ever laid eyes on! Genuine 70s LPs and photos from the original Studio 54 adorned the tables, along with sequins, sequins and more sequins.
