LOUD volunteering for Ronald McDonald House, Herston

Every year LOUD assists with three Brisbane based not for profit organisations, either through event management or volunteering with the office. This year we have helped to support The Xavier Committee Dinner at Victoria Park Golf Course, Yalari Brisbane Dinner at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre and this month, the Ronald McDonald House.

Earlier this month the LOUD team took the afternoon off to cook a two-course meal for the families staying the Ronald McDonald House in Herston. We cooked a delicious main meal with the help of our event crew (aka. gourmet chefs) including a butter chicken, fresh pappadums, homemade raita. condiments & rice.
For desert we (Katie Tomkins & Cloe) made OUT OF THIS WORLD lemon curt tarts and caramel tarts with a side of fresh fruit. Cooking these meals from scratch was a wonderful opportunity to work together as a team and learn new skills and facts such as, DID YOU KNOW, that a pappadum is made from lentils?! (we know right! You’re welcome, take that fact to Christmas lunch).
