Event Focus – Michael Hill Conference 2017
WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS
In the words of the famous Tony Curtis, “if you know how to live in Vegas, you can have the best time”. LOUD events recently put this to the test by taking over 400 conference delegates to the fabulous city of Las Vegas to experience the very best it had to offer.
Corporate incentives such as well-planned and executed conferences are not only crucial to corporate culture but they can inspire companies to dream bigger, work harder and achieve greatness. Michael Hill Jeweller is one company that knows the importance of this and every year LOUD plans one jam-packed, straight-up amazing conference for their delegates. Vegas was no exception.
Conference sessions featured world famous, inspirational key note speakers and high energy performances that interacted with delegates and kept them motivated. The first night was held at the renowned Brooklyn Bowl where delegates could enjoy this old school bowling alley turned bar with DJs and classic American style food. The following evening saw delegates hit Fremont Street for an extravaganza of all things Vegas. Complete with zip-lining over the whole street, drag queens, flash mobs, bands, hover boards and more, this was a night for the books. Delegates donned costumes and enjoyed fully themed entertainment and of course, the wonderful weirdness of Fremont Street.

The conference climax was the steampunk theme Gala Awards Dinner. Multiple screens adorned the walls with customised pre-production and steampunk artwork mirrored throughout the rest of the room. Entertainment consisted of daring acts, one of which was the Roller Duo who had guests gasping in pure amazement. Aside from the full program, delegates were also able to enjoy some free time to shop, see shows and relax poolside before they returned home, ready to take on their job roles with renewed energy that only conferences can bring.
The wonderful people who live and work in Vegas are part of what makes it such an incredible destination for events and conferences. Our view on this will not change despite the recent tragedy to befall the city. Our hearts are with Vegas during this horrific and saddening time but we know the city will continue to be a fantastic location and we hope to return in the future to host even more spectacular events.
