Event Focus – Brisbane City Council Stakeholder Innovation Workshop
LOUD events recently worked alongside the Brisbane City Council to deliver a Stakeholder Innovation Workshop. The event focused on looking at the Transport Plan for Brisbane over the next 20 years.
Leading professionals in the medical, transport, public service and banking sectors came together to provide their insights into how development could take shape over the next 20 years. The workshop started with presentations from Councillor Amanda Cooper, Chairman on Brisbane City Council’s Infrastructure Committee, Futurist Simon Toze and Amanda Newbery from Articulous facilitated the day.
After the keynote presentations concluded a working lunch took place where the group broke into smaller teams and worked through different scenarios to find solutions. The day was documented via a visual scribe who created various illustrations during the day detailing key points that were discussed.
LOUD events managed all event logistics, venue management, catering, signage / design and print, direct marketing emailers, registration site and talent. The day was insightful and really got the LOUD team thinking from an events perspective how change would impact the MICE market. How can we make Brisbane more accessible for business travellers while still creating an environmentally friendly solution? A faster connection to the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast was at the top of our list.
We will wait for the next transport update from Brisbane City Council and continue to do our small part by executing workshops that help in making a change for Brisbane’s Future.
