Event Focus – Backyard Bonanza 2019

Backyard Bonanza 2019 saw approximately 3,000 people come together at McPherson Park in Bracken Ridge to immerse themselves in a fun filled day of entertainment, community stalls, workshops and delicious food vendors! This year we had an awesome line up with acts from Franky Smart and children’s character show Nickelodeon’s PAW Patrol! BYB 2019 involved beloved pet pooches for ‘Bring your dog to BYB day’ – this meant a day for the whole family to Pawty.

We also celebrated the Lion’s 40th year anniversary, while many enjoyed a ride on the Bracken Ridge Lions miniature steam train rides. Creative juices were flowing as Spurtopia took the show with workshops focusing on sustainability and all things environmentally friendly. With an array of food trucks, community market stalls and displays – there was something for everyone! Another year done and dusted for BYB and what a great way to bring the whole community together. We can’t wait to see what BYB 2020 brings!
