Event Focus – Asia Pacific Screen Awards 2018

The end of last year wrapped up in cinematic style and glamour with the 2018 Asia Pacific Screen Awards.  For 6 years LOUD has joined forces with Brisbane Marketing to produce this iconic event.

Always a highlight of Brisbane’s international event calendar (and LOUD’s!), the 2018 Award Ceremony was once again a night to remember. Red carpet Glamour, traditional dress, botanical themed tables and a stunning drop chandelier.  APSA known for celebrating diversity in film across the region, selects films – from the rich pool of local cultures and visual delights and APSA aims to bring these films to a global audience.

The Awards were hosted by New Zealand movie star Cliff Curtis alongside popular Australian TV presenter Sofie Formica at Brisbane’s convention and exhibition centre.

What we love – the Award Vessel

With no Oscars in sight, each Asia Pacific Screen Award winner receives a completely unique, beautiful and delicate glass vessel. Hand-made and designed by local acclaimed artist Joanna Bone, these vibrant, colourful and absolutely stunning glass vessels are one of a kind and distinctly recognized by film makers around the world!
