Event Awards Finalists!
Pop the champagne! The LOUD team are thrilled to announce that The Greater Springfield Festival of Learning produced by LOUD last year has been nominated in the “Best New Event” category in this year’s Australian Event Awards.
The inaugural Greater Springfield Festival of Learning on 21 – 26 October 2019, encompassed a myriad of connected events and activities across the emerging city that showcased and celebrated learning. The Festival was a significant undertaking for the newly formed Greater Springfield Learning Coalition which consists of 11 schools and the Springfield City Group.
LOUD’s Festival Producers Danielle Gadanyi and Katie Tomkins worked closely with the festival committee to bring together a total of 50 events across the week, from dance workshops to AFL skills training to exploration of Australia’s unique indigenous culture. These events were hosted by the various schools within Springfield and were open to any student within Greater Springfield. The festival was spearheaded by 3 major events which served to showcase the festival to the public.
The week-long festival attracted thousands of visitors and successfully celebrated everything that is exciting about life-long learning. The Festival of Learning was a tremendous event that the LOUD team were proud to be a part of, which is why we are thrilled to have our efforts recognised by the Australian Event Awards committee.
The Event Awards program is the only opportunity for Australian event professionals to compete directly right across the nation and across all facets of the industry to establish which are Australia’s best events and event-related goods, services and innovations.
Cross fingers for us! We’re going to put on ballgowns and lipstick for the ceremony in late October, even if we are celebrating from our lounge rooms!
