Brisbane Social Enterprises & Team Building – Mini Farm Project
Looking for a locally-focused team building opportunity that also gives back to the community? This month we’re featuring Mini Farm Project. This Brisbane based project converts under-utilised spaces into urban farms to grow food for people in need.
Mini Farm Projects believe that those vulnerable in our community deserve continuous access to good quality and nutritious fresh food. Food insecurity can be eliminated through a chain of special-purpose urban/peri-urban farms, that are specifically designed to produce food for those in need through food relief agencies and local charities.
The project offers companies the opportunity to volunteer time at their gardens to help with gardening-based tasks. They also accept food waste from local catering companies and venues, allowing them to compost to fertilise the gardens.
