LOUD events are assisting The Brisbane Business Hub develop an event series  ‘On the Couch With’ (OTCW) designed to leverage brands and business leaders with existing awareness, credibility and equity within the Brisbane business community. OTCW aims to be a blend of business, educational and entertaining, with a line‐up of Brisbane’s most successful and innovative business leaders, and to provide local Brisbane businesses the opportunity to connect and learn from the best in the City.

This morning’s free event was held with Phil Di Bella founder and managing director of The Coffee Commune. We were lucky to join guests to hear about his journey and learnings from operating a solo coffee cart to running a multi-brand operation.

The next free On The Couch session is with James Tuma, Group Director Urbis.

James is an accomplished strategist, urban thinker, and advocate for sustainable cities. His background in design combined with his ability to develop strategies for change, and to prioritise those quickly, enables them to come to life with pace and passion.

Working internationally with both Government and the private sector for over 20 years, James has advised on the creation of new towns and communities, global innovation hubs, strategic infrastructure, major events, tourism precincts, and significant higher education campuses. All of his projects are met with a unique perspective and combination of a creative mind coupled with data-driven decision making.

He will speak about the future of Brisbane and what to expect as we move into the transformation and growth stages.

James will also share his observations, thoughts, and knowledge about:

* Predictions and trends in 2021

* Industries that are making a comeback

* Snapshot of key Australian cities, their recovery journey, and the impact they will have on Brisbane

This session will be followed by a short Q&A with James and a networking opportunity. For more information please register here
