This month we are taking some time to reflect on our favourite events from the last few years. From stage managing hot tennis players to creating a functioning gym in an event, the LOUD team certainly have some interesting memories of life “on the tools”!

This is a photo taken of the Brisbane International Gala Dinner. It is one of my favourite events working alongside Roger Federer and his posse of ten Swiss-Germans garbed in Italian suits and Italian shoes speaking a combination of French and German. It was a purely magnificent moment in my life. Oh and the event was pretty sensational too.
This photo was taken at the Opening to the Clem7 tunnel. This was Qld’s first series of events to be ever held in a tunnel and the planning that went into the logistics of organising 4 separate massive events over 2 days was incredible. Just one single simple component like managing the movement of vehicles in and out of the tunnel felt like a full time job, let alone each and every moving part it takes to welcome 80,000 guests to walk through a tunnel. It was mammoth and incredible to manage. I loved and hated every moment.
The photo I chose is of the Lift Brands Summit. A week that challenged me as we created a functioning gym for over 400 delegates alongside a jam-packed program full of education, team building, an exhibition and social functions. When working in events the bond you make with the onsite crew is unmatched and one of the many reasons I love this industry. You learn a lot about people after a full week of 12 plus hour days! The stories we could all tell…
The Commonwealth Games… what a beast! LOUD were bought on in the last few months leading into the Games to create and coordinate four event activation sites where the general public could watch sports such as the Road Walk, Road Cycling and Mountain Biking for free. It took weeks of long days (and nights), lots moving goal posts, the general challenges of coordinating four large outdoor venues, not to mention security and safety protocols for days and days. However, in the end it saw an opportunity for us to all come together as a team, laugh (cry) and provide the general public with a free, fun and safe space to cheer the Aussies on to Gold!
Every year LOUD are thrilled to work with The Pharmacy Guild of Australia to bring together their conference gala event. Each year the theme gets better and better – we have had Cirque Noir, Mexican Fiesta and Las Vegas (complete with a real-life wedding performed by Elvis)! Last year’s event has to be one of my favourite themes – Studio 54. We had roller skating disco dancers, giant disco balls throughout the ceiling and most attendees dressed in theme and ready to boogie. It certainly helps when the LOUD team are having fun on the job!
